Price, 82, of Anadarko, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2003, at Mercy Hospital, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born May 18, 1921, in Ada, Oklahoma, to William and Ella Audrey (Seely) Price. R. J. married Pauline Henderson on March 7, 1946, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was a member of the VFW post #1015 and the Church of God, Anadarko, and loved to coon hunt. R. J. was a firefighter with the Anadarko Fire Department until his retirement. He also worked with Caddo County District #3 and as a jailer and deputy with the Caddo County Sheriff's Office. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Price, of the home; 4 children: Pat Wallis and husband, James, Trent, Texas, Sandy Short and husband, Rick, Anadarko, Brenda Hughes and husband, Bill, Tuttle, Roger Price and wife Lisa, Tuttle; 9 grandchildren: Kim, Michael, Ricky Don, Chris, Jeff, Kelly Amber, Nick and Shavon; 15 great grandchildren; 4 sisters-in-law: Velma Price, Anadarko, Betty D elong and husband, Bob, Piedmont, Dorothy Rosales, Shafter, CA, Maxine Rosales, CA; 1 brother-in-law, Carl Patterson, Anadarko; several nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ella Audrey Price, 2 sisters, Bertie Wells and Lois Patterson, 3 brothers, Bill, J. D. and Leroy Price. Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2003, at the Church of God, Anadarko. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Palczynsky, Anadarko. Burial will follow in the Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, under the direction of Smith-Haskney Funeral Home, Anadarko.
