Devoted wife of Franklin B. Pershina of Cave Creek, AZ. Beloved mother of Doug Pershina of Cave Creek, AZ. Cherished grandmother of Allan Pershina of Santa Rosa, and Christian, Carson, and Allyson Pershina all of Cave Creek, AZ. Adored daughter of the late Lucille and Ira Elledge. Loving sister of Franklyn Elledge, Mary Anderson, Susan Thorne, and Becky Elledge all of Oklahoma. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Age 70 years. Glenda was born, reared and educated in Chickasha, OK, graduating from Chickasha High School in 1954. She received her BA in retail merchandising in 1958 from Oklahoma State University. In 1960, Glenda moved to CA, settling in San Rafael and working at I. Magnin's in San Francisco. A year later, she married Franklin Pershina in Marin and together they enjoyed over 45 years of marriage. Upon moving to Petaluma in 1967, Glenda worked for the Old Adobe School District and Petaluma School District as a substitute teacher. She was also very active in AAUW, acting at one point as its membership chair. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Service, Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA (707) 763-4131. A Visitation will be held Friday, February 9, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94952 or the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Northern California, 150 Grand Ave., Oakland, CA 94612. Interment: Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Petaluma.
