PARKER Juanita T. Parker, long-time Chickasha resident, died Monday, October 18, 2004, at the Shanoan Springs Nursing Home. She was 84. Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 21, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha. Juanita was born January 12, 1920, at Coalgate, Oklahoma, the daughter of Frank B. and Nannie (McCarly) Lawrence. She grew up in southeastern Oklahoma and attended Carter Indian Seminary at Ardmore, Oklahoma. She was married to Robert C. Parker at El Reno, Oklahoma, on July 3, 1939. They made their home in Chickasha in 1958, but continued to travel throughout the United States in connection with Mr. Parker's employment as an ironworker. Juanita was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, quilting, Football, NASCAR, and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob, on April 10, 1993, and two sisters. Juanita is survived by her five children: Darrell Parker and wife, Sue, of Rush Springs, Nancy Kanzenbach and husband, Jim, of Plano, Texas, Jennifer Freeman and husband, Mark, of Ponca City, Cherie Staples and husband, Ron, of Chickasha, Robert C. Parker, Jr. and wife, Pattie, of Oklahoma City; one sister, Wilma Tritten, of Maryland Heights, Missouri; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Steve Mills, Scott Mills, Jason Staples, Marc Parker, Joel Parker, Donald Dorwood, Lane Compton, Matt Tamplen, Denny Stacy, and James Chamberlain. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
