The Verden News
July 26, 1935



David Grant Protzman was born in Indiana, March 7th, 1865, passed away 
in Severy, Kansas, July 18th, 1935, at the age of 70 years, 4 months and 
12 days.

Mr. Protzman formerly lived in Verden, and was in the grocery business 
here and also at the Dutton store north of here. His wife preceded him 
in death several years ago, he was laid to rest here in the Verden 
cemetery.

He leaves to mourn his departure, 3 sons and 5 daughters, Doren, Dale 
and David, Dorothy, Ernestine, Lenevieve, Mary Dene, and Viveta; three 
brothers and one sister, Dan, Steve and Charlie, Mrs. Ferguson.

The funeral service was held at the Methodist church Monday afternoon 
with Rev. Giles, pastor officiating.
