All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Rush Springs Cemetery--Rush Springs OK Rush Springs Gazette August 12, 1971 Funeral Services for Mary Etta Porter were Tuesday Funeral services for Mary Etta Porter, 68, were held Tuesday, August 10th at 10 a.m. from the Church of Christ in Rush Springs with Eulys Russell of Chickasha officiating. Mrs. Porter was born Nov 1, 1902 in Freestone County, Texas and died Sunday, Aug. 8, at 7:20 am in Grady Memorial Hospital, Chickasha, following a two and half year illness. She had been a resident of Rush Springs most of her life. She was married to Robert L. Porter in April of 1931 and he preceded her in death. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Burial was in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of the Callaway-Smith Funeral Home. Bearers were Pat Dowling, Wes Huffine, Herb Haston, R.O. Gibbs, Allan Winham and Spencer Bernard. Survivors include one son E.M. Hanson of Oklahoma City; 2 granddaughters; Linda Hanson and Mary Sue Bond; 2 grandsons, Mike Hanson and Tommy Bond both in the armed services; three sisters Mrs. Cally Foster, Mrs. Eunice Foster and Mrs. Lady Murray of Rush Springs; four brothers B. Arthur Parish, and Finley Parish, both of Rush Springs, Rufus Parish of Carnegie and J.
