Perryman was born June 1, 1924, to John A. Perryman and Edna Mae Davis Perryman in Alma, AR. He died Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, in Chickasha, at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 11 days. Mr. Perryman was educated at Trusty School in Fort Smith and continued at Lavaca before joining the United States Navy during World War II. He was married to Claribel Horton November 19, 1944 and made their home together. He was educated at Arkansas Tech University and Oklahoma A&M where he earned his Masters Degree in Vocational Agriculture. He began a career teaching Vo Ag at Kinta Schools in 1949 in a career that spanned some 37 years until his retirement in 1986. After his retirement he and Claribel made their home in Stigler. Mr. Perryman is survived by his wife of 59 years Claribel of Stigler, OK; a daughter, Jane Ann Autrey of Brooken; four sons, Roy and wife Judy of Stigler; Rob and wife Vicki of Stigler; David and wife Jo of Chickasha and Doug and wife, Doris of Wilburton. Also 15 grandchildren, Carissa Perryman, Jayme Craig, Cody Autrey, Trey Autrey, Mike Fagg, Jeff Fagg, William Vaughn, Houston Yeager, Becky Seda, Tyler Perryman, Jimmy Perryman, John Perryman, Morgan Buffington, Blair Benham, and Whitney Benham. And 12 great grandchildren, Malik Perryman, Jaylee Craig, Alex Seda, Claire Autrey, Faith Vaughn, Camden Vaughn, Jana Fagg, Brittany Fagg, Haley Fagg, Kaylen Fagg, Stephanie Fagg and Mason Buffington. Also, 11 brothers and sisters, Elwanda Ebel, Bob Perryman, Ralph Perryman, Curtis Perryman, Winnie Sullivan, Charles Proctor, Jean Perryman, Martha Butler, Wilma Perryman, Shirley Pool and Johnny Perryman, and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by both parents and by one son, Ronald Joe Perryman. Services for Mr. Perryman will be 2:00 P.M, Friday, Oct. 15, at First United Methodist Church in Stigler. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Cody & Roy Autrey, Tyler, James, and John Perryman, William Vaughn, Houston Yeager, Mike & Jeff Fagg. Burial will follow at Stigler Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
