She was born July 26, 1917 in Chickasha, OK, to Lawrence and Joan Powell. She grew up on the family's farm in Odessa, MO, prior to attending William Jewel and Texas Christian University. She met her husband to be, Harold Richard Sundvahl, Sr., while at T.C.U. "Hal", asked for her hand in marriage prior to going into the F.B.I. during WWII. Shortly after their marriage, during WWII, he was stationed in various locales. In May, 1943, he continued his F.B.I. service in South America, leaving Rosanne to raise their first 2 children. Rosanne and Hal moved to Tulsa, after the war to raise their 3 children; Hal R. Sundvahl, Jr., Sigred Lee Williams, and Neva Sundvahl -Cruz. They resided in their present home since 1955. She loved people, entertaining in their home, and had been an avid bridge and duplicate player. She will be remembered as a wonderfully creative lady, who always had several handcrafts underway as she shared these with family and friends, Rosanne was a lifelong member of Boston Avenue United Methodist Church, D.A.R., numerous bridge groups and several volunteer service organizations. Her quick wit and thoughtfulness to others was appreciated by many. Rosanne Sundvahl is preceded in death by: her husband, Hal; her parents; and 1 grandson, Eric Sundvahl. She is survived by: her 3 children, Hal Sundvahl, Jr. (Jill), Sigred Williams (Scott), Neva Sundvahl-Cruz (Jim); 8 grand children, and 6 great- grandchildren. There was a Graveside service for Rosanne in Odessa, where she was buried by her parents and husband.
