His sister, Mrs. Naomi Bryson of California, who was visiting him was with him when he passed away at his home in Oklahoma City. While he had no church affiliation, he was a firm believer in Christ. His highest ambition was to understand and live the simple truth as Christ taught it according to his understanding from the study of his Bible. This life had no attraction for him compared with the future eternal life. His friends and all who have known him for the past twenty years which he spent in Oklahoma City say that he was strictly honest and very conscientious. In his early life his occupation was mining in which he had been employed in several different states. He leaves to mourn his departure two sisters, Mrs. Naomi R. Bryson, Pomona, California, Mrs. Fannie Protzman, Verden, Oklahoma. Nine nieces and four nephews. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church, Wednesday May 4, with Rev. J. D. Stout, pastor and Rev. C. W. Taylor in charge of the services.
