Robinson was born in Tennessee, August 10, 1854. He died in Chickasha Hospital October 21, 1935, age 81 years, 3 months and 11 days. At the age of seventeen he moved from Tennessee to Texas where he grew to manhood and was married to Sarah Elizabeth Allen, December 12, 1877. To the union was born twelve children, six sons and six daughters. Five of these preceded their father in death. He leaves his widow and seven children to mourn his departure. The surviving children are Mr. James Robinson of Holdenville, Mrs. C. W. Kuwitsky of Norman, Scott Robinson of El Reno, Mrs. Nellie Whitley of Verden, Charles Robinson of Compton, California; Mrs. Elva Felix, Verden, Mrs. Geor. Gould of Kansas City, Mo. Besides these he leaves one brother, Will Robinson of Mangum and two sisters, Mrs. Fanny Lovelace of Eden, Texas and Mrs. Molly Short of Davis, 25 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many friends. The deceased moved from Texas to this vicinity in 1898, 37 years ago, and he lived in and near Verden most of the time since that date. He is well known in Verden throughout all of its history.
