Mildred was born December 9, 1912, in Anadarko, OK, to Molly Markman and Henry Lankford. She was predeceased by husband Jesse Lee Reece, granddaughters Tiffani and Cindy. She is also predeceased by sisters Alice Miller, Edna Powell, Ethyl Gardner, Jennie Axton and Liela Schierbaum; and one brother, Grant A. Lankford. She is survived by two sons, Warren Reece and wife Maelynn of St. Charles, IL, Virgil Reece and wife Clarrie of Derby, KS; grandchildren: Chris Reece, Darren Reece, Dawn Whitson and husband John, Dannielle Reece; and one great grandchild, Jeffrey Rhees Whitson; one brother, Travis Lankford; two sisters, Sally Wallace and Wilma Lee; one aunt, Elsie Reece; numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Mildred was a long time schoolteacher in Washita, Anadarko, Oklahoma City, Crooked Oak and Wanette, OK. She retired in 1975. She lived for many years in Mustang, OK, following retirement. She spent most of her life caring for children and the elderly. At the time of her death she was a resident of Wichita, KS. She was a long time Sunday School teacher in various Baptist churches and continued in this capacity until the age of 85. The family will receive visitors at Vondel L. Mortuary, 6934 S. Western, Oklahoma City, OK 73139, Friday, September 27, from 7 to 9 p.m., where the funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday morning. Interment will be at the Anadarko Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, followed by a reception for family and friends at the Bethel Baptist Church in Anadarko, OK. Gifts in lieu of flowers may be made to the Oklahoma Baptist Children's Home. --------------------------------------------------------------------
