::Elmhurst Cemetery--Guymon TX

Ruth E. Rogers

GUYMON, OKLA. - Ruth E. Rogers, 84, died Saturday, July 27, 2002.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with 
the Rev. Derek Cox officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery 
by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home.

The Rogers family moved to Guymon from Rush Springs in 1943. She was 
a supervisor for GTE, retiring in 1982 with 30 years of service.

Survivors include a son, Jimmie Rogers of Liberal, Kan.; a daughter, 
Lila Barker of Guymon; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 
a sister, Lillie Mae Proffitt of Fort Worth, Texas; and two 
brothers, J.C. Hunter of Chickasha and Bobby Hunter of Fort Worth.

The family suggests memorials be to Kids, Inc.; or Harrington Cancer 
Center and will be accepted at the funeral home, P.O. Box 1112, 
Guymon, OK 73942.
