Gene Richardson was born March 7, 1937, in Marlow, and died on Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, in Oklahoma City. Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. Submitted by Sandi Carter 2nd Obit The Chickasha Express-Star 19 February 2001 Gene Richardson Funeral service for Gene Richardson, 63, of Chickasha, will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2001, at the Grand Ave. Assembly of God Church. Mr. Richardson was born March 7, 1937 in Marlow, Oklahoma. He was the son of Tom and Elsie (Summers) Richardson. He died Friday February 16, 2001 in Oklahoma City. Mr. Richardson had worked for the Chickasha Coca-Cola company for 25 years. He then worked for the City of Chickasha for ten years. He retired in 1999. He and Joyce Lowrey were married October 4, 1957. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Robert and Harold Richardson. Survivors include: his wife: Joyce Richardson of the home in Chickasha; one son: Rickey and wife Sherri Richardson of Amber; two daughters: Kathy and husband Glenn Parker of Ninnekah, Rhonda Richardson of Chickasha; five grandchildren: Misty Parker, Ericka, Sharene, Ashlee and Rickey Richardson; one great grandchild: Haley Atkins; four brothers and their wives: twin brother: Burlene and Geraldine Richardson of Amber, Howard and Nelda Richardson of Amber, Dale and Anna Richardson of Johnson City, KS, Fred and Johnna Richardson of Enid; two sisters: Bertha Green of Chickasha, Shirley and Bill Atkinson of Chickasha; two sister-in-laws: Carolyn Richardson of Chickasha, Francis Richardson of Rolla, KS. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, Oklahoma, under the direction of the Sevier Funeral Home.
