The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ==================================================================== Oral Richardson Graveside services for Oral “Red” Richardson, 78, former Lawton resident, was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2003, at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with DeArthur Yandell, pastor, Free Will Baptist Church, Chickasha, officiating. Mr. Richardson died Saturday, February 15, 2003, at his home. Burial was under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. Mr. Richardson was born October 5, 1924, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Henry Monroe and Johnnie M. (Franklin) Richardson. He married Nova Deane Sturdivant in Wichita Falls, Texas, on February 28, 1951. She died October 1, 1993. Mr. Richardson served in the Navy during World War II. He owned and operated Busy Bee Cab Company in Lawton during the 50s and 60s and City Cab Company in Anadarko before retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Chickasha and the American Legion. Survivors include 3 sons - Greg Richardson and wife Sandy; Anadarko, Oklahoma, Bobby Richardson and wife Anna; Anadarko, Oklahoma and David Richardson of Chickasha, Oklahoma; a daughter - Johnnie Lou Kuykendall and husband James, Lawton, Oklahoma; a brother - John Alvin Richardson and wife Olene, Lawton, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren - Jessica Richardson, Jennifer Kuykendall, April Williams and husband Robert, Matthew Tselee and Amanda Richardson; and 2 great grandchildren - McKenzie Richardson and Kori Williams; a brother-in- law, Gene Sturdivant and his wife Frankie of Walters. Preceded in death by his wife, parents, 4 sisters, 2 brothers and a granddaughter - Holly Kuykendall. Memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice of Central Oklahoma; 1000 W.
