RICHARDSON Funeral services for Genevieve H. Richardson, 86, of Pocasset, Okla., will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2004, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Genevieve H. Richardson was born Oct. 10, 1917, in Pocasset, and died on Thursday, June 24, 2004, in Chickasha, Okla. Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 27 Jule 2004 GENEVIEVE H. RICHARDSON Funeral services for Genevieve H. Richardson, 86, of Pocassett, Oklahoma, will be held Monday, June 28, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Genevieve H. Richardson was born October 10, 1917, in Pocasset, Oklahoma, the daughter of Edward Justus Howell and Hetti Hill Howell. She died Thursday, June 24, 2004, in Chickasha. Genevieve grew up on the family farm near Pocasset, Oklahoma. She graduated from Pocasset High School and attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Genevieve married George Richardson, her husband of 60 years, on October 2, 1938, in Pocasset. They made their home in the Pocasset area, where she and George operated a wholesale gas and oil agency for twelve years. In 1950 they moved west of Pocasset and started a dairy farm and ranch operation. They retired from farming in 1977 and moved to Minco, Oklahoma. Genevieve was a member of the Pocasset Methodist Church where she served many years as youth director and Sunday school teacher. She was a long time member of the United Methodist Woman's Organization and also the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by both parents, her sister, Mary Ita, and her husband George, who died July 11, 1999. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Gwen and David Robinett, of Crawford, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Glenda Richardson, of Pocasset, Oklahoma; two grandsons: Brad Robinett of Crawford, Texas, Clint Richardson and wife Aprill, of Norman, Oklahoma; and one granddaughter and husband, Tracie and Billy Shelburne, of Valley View, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
