Kyle DeWayne Reed was born on April 4, 1980, in Altus, Oklahoma, the son of Leroy Reed and Carol Ann Bates Reed. He died on Monday, July 9, 2001, in Arlington, Texas. Kyle was very active in many sports. He played in the Chickasha Little League baseball and Mighty Mite football. He was involved in the CJHS football and wrestling programs and wrestled in the CHS wrestling program. He also loved fishing, water sports and BMX bicycling racing. Kyle attended the Chickasha Public Schools. He graduated from Chickasha High School in 1999. Kyle is survived by his mother and stepfather, Carol and Andy Farl of Chickasha; father, Leroy Reed of Altus, OK; sister, Annesha Robertson of Chickasha; nephew, Preston Maxwell of Chickasha; grandparents, Melvin and Joyce Bates of Altus, OK, Ab and Mae Reed of Altus, OK, Jack and Bernice Farl of Arizona; uncles and aunts, Chuck and Susie Huffman of Norman, OK, Bud and Donna Roberson of Altus, OK; cousins, Jennifer and Heath Huffman of Norman, OK, Amanda and Carl Roberson of Altus, OK; and a host of other aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Epworth Youth and Epworth Christian School and Day School, P.O. Box 647, Chickasha, Oklahoma 73023. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
