Kelvin Rhodes was born June 29, 1967, in Ohio, and died on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, in Overland Park, Maryland. RHODES, USAF June 29, 1967 - August 18, 2002 Graveside service for Kelvin Rhodes, 35, will be held Friday, August 30, 2002, at 3:00 p.m. at Fairlawn Cemetery. Wake Services will be held at the Brown/Christian Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 29th, at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2002. TSgt Rhodes had a distinguished Air Force career and served his country with honor and great distinction for more than 17 years. Tsgt Rhodes was born on June 29, 1967, in Ohio and grew up in Mississippi. He began his Air Force career with entry to active duty in June 1985 as a Corrosion Control Specialist for various air maintenance units, with assignments to RAF Mildenhall, England and Edwards, AFB, CA. He crosstrained in 1991 into the intelligence career field with assignments to Langley AFB, VA; Barksdale AFB, LA; Osan AFB, Korea; Hickam AFB, HI; and DIA, Bolling AFB, Washington, DC. His last duty station was with the Office for Military Infrastructure Analysis, Mobility and Sustainability Division, PACOM Team at the Defense Intelligence Agency. Originally an Asia transportation logistics analyst, he became the lead analyst for India, and Pakistan; after the terrorist events of September 11. His analytic highlights included publishing several Military Intelligence Digest articles; analytic contributions to Operational Support Studies on Afghanistan, India and Pakistan, and infrastructure database updates. He is survived by his wife Lorre; their three children, Kelvin, II (12), Lawrence (9), and Tia (5); mother, father, sisters, brothers, and a host of relatives and friends.
