Walker FH--Shawnee OK ORVILLE L. (DUSTY) RHOADES Funeral services for Orville L. (Dusty) Rhoades, 72, of Shawnee, Okla., will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2004, in the Chapel of Walker Funeral Service, Shawnee. Dr. Montie A. Campbell will officiate. Orville L. (Dusty) Rhoades was born December 4, 1931, in Auburn, Neb., the son of Lester Leon and Luella (Osborne) Rhoades. He died Friday, June 4, 2004, at an Oklahoma City, OKla., hospital. Dusty graduated from Auburn High School in 1950. He lived in Nebraska until 1961. Before moving to Shawnee, he also lived in Kansas, Texas, Illinois, and other cities. Dusty married Gloria Morgan on October 24, 1974, in Texarkana, Texas. He owned and operated Rhoades Greenhouses in Shawnee until 1971. Dusty also owned and operated Flower & Stuff in Chickasha, Okla., and Hazel's Flower Shop in Ozark, MO. He worked for the Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons, and later retired from the Postal Training Center in Norman, Okla., as an accountant. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Jennifer Rhoades. Dusty is survived by his wife, Gloria, of the home; nine children: Mick and Darlene Rhoades, of Oklahoma City, Candace and Phil Lynam, of Shawnee, Linda and Dale Smith, of McLoud, Okla., Michael Rhoades, of Oklahoma City, Jane and George Nowlin, of Yukon, Okla., Jim and Angie Rasor, of Oklahoma City, Rob and T. J. Rasor, of Norman, and Michelle and Rick Couch, of Shawnee; 24 grandchildren; a sister, Francis Ann Scott, of Auburn; and a brother and sister-in-law, Denny and Georgia Criger, of Rockport, MO.
