Caroline Rodgers was born Nov. 22, 1903, in Onida, Tenn., and died Sunday, April 11, 2004, in Chickasha. Interment will be in Bradley Cemetery, Bradley, Okla., under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 13 April 2004 CAROLINE RODGERS Funeral service for Caroline Rodgers, 100, if Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2004, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Caroline Rodgers was born November 22, 1903, in Onida, Tennessee, the daughter of Nate and Betty (Simpson) Stidham, and died April 11, 2004, in Chickasha. Mrs. Rodgers moved to Oklahoma in 1914. She lived in the Chickasha area most of her life and worked as a cook at Lawrence's Cafe and Roe's Cafe. She and Willie Rodgers were married in 1920, and he preceded her in death September 20, 1963. She married Elbert Rodgers August 14, 1969, and he preceded her in death April 1986. Mrs. Rodgers was also preceded in death by one daughter, Fian Cannedy, April 18, 1992; one son, Grady Duane "Dee" Rodgers, December 7, 1996; grandson, Randall Rodgers, March 1, 1987; great granddaughter, Erica Lynn Rodgers. Survivors include one daughter, Thedra Remington; one son and his wife, Durel (Tots) and Lavern Rodgers; daughter-in-law, Bessie Rodgers; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchldren.
