Delbert Wayne Rodgers was born Sept. 21, 1933, and died on Wednesday, December 1, 2004, in Chickasha. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 3 December 2004 DELBERT "WAYNE" RODGERS Graveside services for Delbert Wayne Rodgers, 71, of Chickasha, will be held Saturday, December 4, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., at the Fairlawn Cemetery, with Reverend Bill Pendergrass officiating. Delbert Wayne Rodgers was born September 21, 1933, in Scott, Oklahoma, the son of Bert G. Rodgers and Mary L. Childress Rodgers. He died Wednesday, December 1, 2004, in Chickasha. Wayne came to Dibble as a young man. He attended and graduated from Dibble High School. After graduation, he joined the Army National Guard, where he served for two years. Wayne married Wanda Capps in 1952. This union brought them four wonderful children: Dale, Vivian, Reba, and Lilly. They were married for 27 years. In 1980 he married Mary Williams. They were married for 8 years. He was employed for Coles Refrigeration for several years, and then in 1967, he started his own refrigeration business, and was self-employed until his retirement. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He was preceded in death by both parents, and one sister, Bonnie Fagan. Wayne is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Dale and Dora Rodgers, of Chickasha; three daughters and sons-in-law: Vivian and Charles Edwards, of Duncan, Reba and Allen Hibbs, Jr., and Lilly Martin, all of Chickasha; two brothers, Wilburn Rodgers, and Paul Rodgers, both of Chickasha; four sisters: Mary McCabe, of Live Oak, California, Martha Dickey, and Bertha Blevins, both of Chickasha, and Ruth Adkins, of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
