All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Tuttle Times 9 March 2005 JOHN LEE RAWLINGS John Lee Rawlings passed away Feb. 3, at home with his wife Barbara and daughter Rene' by his side. John was born in Tuttle, Okla. on Jan. 30, 1925. His wife Barbara, to whom he had been married for 56 years, survives him. Survivors include two children, Rene' Rawlings and Cindy Harrod; son in law, Michael Harrod; and two grandsons, Chris and Brian, all of Mesa, Ariz. In John's younger years, he enjoyed playing golf, but later had to give it up and enjoy the game on T.V. John also served in the Navy for many years and got to see quite a bit of the world. John has always been a survivor, even in the Navy when he had three battleships go under. Even though he had a laryngectomy, he did not let it get him down. For the past several years he enjoyed breakfast out with the family and playing blackjack. He will be thoroughly missed but we know he is with God and family members that have passed on. Survivors also include George Rawlings of San Antonio, Texas, and Don Rawlings of White Oaks, Texas. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
