February 2002 Ollie Bynum Rainey The family of Ollie Bynum Rainey will be conducting a memorial service as a celebration of his life on Wednesday, February 27, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. in the USAO Chapel. Mr. Steve Parker will officiate. O. B. Rainey was born the son of Thomas Andrew Rainey and Rosa Cena (Smith) Rainey on June 23, 1928, near Pocasset, OK. He died on February 23, 2002, at his home in Chickasha. O. B. was raised on the family farm west of Pocasset and graduated from Pocasset High School. He began trucking and farming as a young man and continued these occupations most of his life. He also owned an oilfield construction business and was an active horse breeder. O. B. worked hard all his life until his health began to fail. He was (sic) faithful member of the Church of Christ as his health would permit. O. B. married Lily Onie Bond on May 14, 1946 in Turlock, CA; she preceded him in death on July 15, 1979. He later married Gail Wade on November 21, 1981, in Wichita Falls, Tx. O. B. was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Leslie Rainey, seven brothers and one sister. Survivors include: his wife: Gail Rainey, of the home; son: Larry Rainey and daughter-in-law, Cleta, of Lindsay; daughter: Marilyn Feaver and son-in-law, John, of Chickasha; son: Ollie E. Rainey and daughter-in-law, Julie, of Chickasha; daughter: Sabra Martin and son-in-law, Jimmy, of Chickasha; daughter: Quana Wade, of Chickasha; sister: Bernice Steffan, of Madera, CA; brothers: Allen Rainey, of Navasota, TX; grandchildren: Travis Rainey, LaVonnda Emery, Joshua Glass, Medea Glass, Ollie Dylan Rainey, Cody Rainey, Jackie Drewry, Angela Nicole Peters, James Feaver, Matthew Feaver, Justin Martin, Lindsey Richardson; six great grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
