All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Rose Hill Cemetery--Chickasha OK The Chickasha Express-Star 3 June 2003 TRESSIE MAE WRIGHT RANDOLPH Funeral service for Tressie Mae Wright Randolph, age 95, of Cyril, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 5, 2003, in the Cyril United Methodist Church. Tressie Mae Wright Randolph was born the daughter of Pinkney Argyle Vaught and Mattie Mae Matthews on December 15, 1907, in Haworth, Oklahoma. She died on Sunday, June 1, 2003, in Chickasha. Tressie grew up in eastern Oklahoma and later moved to the Rush Springs area. In 1941, she moved to Chickasha. She then attended and graduated from Oklahoma College For Women in 1957. Tressie obtained her teachers certificate and taught at Gracemont, Tuttle, and Ninnekah. In 1967, she moved to Cyril where she continued teaching and retired in 1973. She was a member of the Cyril United Methodist Church. Tressie married Walter Ralph "Monk" Wright and he preceded her in death in 1950. In 1980, she married Clarence A. "Bick" Randolph, who also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, James and Richard Vaught, and four sisters, Lorene Randolph, Zula Hissam, Gladys Red, and Marge Flahart, and an infant daughter. Survivors include: daughter and husband: Norma and Dr. Dwain Wiley of Chickasha; daughter: Julia Ann Fleming of Brownsville, Tennessee; daughter and husband: Kathryn and Ronnie Smith of Cyril; stepson and wife: Terry and Diane Randolph of Texas; nephew she helped raise: Louis Wayne Matthews of Broken Arrow; sister: Exa (Polly) Kline of Strawn, Texas; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; three great, great grandchildren; numerous family and friends. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay's Cyril Funeral Home.
