All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Duncan City Cemetery--Duncan OK Surname: ERVIN, HALL, KRANNIG, LEWIS, MATTHEWS, MORGAN, SPIVEY, WORLEY The Chickasha Express-Star 14 October 2000 Lois Maydell Lewis Spivey Funeral service for Lois Maydell Lewis Spivey, 85, of Duncan, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 16, 2000, in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Hurby Morgan. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Lois Spivey was born May 10, 1915, in Booneville, Ark., the daughter of Samuel Newton and Cora Mae (Ervin) Lewis. She died Thursday, October 12, 2000, in Duncan. Lois was a seamstress. She worked for Ben and Ray’s Clothing Store before becoming self-employed. She married Cleo Alton (Pete) Spivey on Sept. 29, 1934, in Marlow. He preceded her in death in 1972. Lois was a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Bobby Joe Spivey in 1971 and Alton Lynn Spivey in 1964. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Jerry Spivey and Rosa of Comanche, Irene Krannig and Calvin of Wills Point, Texas, Patsy Worley and Kenneth of Comanche and Norma Hall and Don of Rush Springs, Juanita Matthews and Charles of Duncan, Billy Spivey and Linda of Roland; one brother, C.D. Lewis of Madera, Calif.; and 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
