Scoggins, age 88, are to be conducted at 10:30 o'clock Friday morning from the Brown Funeral home by Rev. Monroe G. Wright, pastor of the Frisco Avenue Methodist church. Burial will be in the Rose Hill cemetery. Though Mr. Scoggins has been in poor health for the past two years, he had been bedfast since last June, following a stroke of paralysis. He died Tuesday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Maggie Cochran, seven miles south of Chickasha. Mr. Scoggins came to Grady county in 1930 from Waurika. Surviving members of the family include four sons, Chesley of Waurika, George of Abilene, Texas, Claude of Comanche and John of Chickasha; one daughter, Mrs. Maggie Cochran; three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Jeters of Ninnekah, Mrs. Ada Hostler of Marlow and Mrs. Belle Thomas of Pampa, Texas, and one brother, Ed, of Bartlesville. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
