P. Sigmon residing north of town, fell from the top of a barn onto a wire fence, striking the fence on his right breast, which injured his lung in some way and was the cause of pneumonia setting in, and on Monday, July 6, he passed from this life. He never regained consciousness after falling and it is thought that there were other internal injuries. Turner was an execeptionally bright little lad and was a favorite among his playmates as well as with older people. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday, and the remains were tenderly laid away in the Verden cemetery. Our hearts swell with sympathy to the sorrowing father and heart broken mother.
