Everett Lawrence Scott was born April 5, 1920, in Madill. He died on Monday, March 19, 2001, in Norman. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 23 March 2001 Everett Lawrence Scott Funeral services for Everett Lawrence Scott, 80, of Chickasha will be held on Friday, March 23, 2001, at 10:00 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andy Taylor of the Trinity Baptist Church officiating. Everett Lawrence Scott was born April 5, 1920, in Madill, Oklahoma, the son of William Everett Scott and Carrie Hammond Scott. He died March 20, 2001, in Norman. Lawrence married Zola Naomi Cooper on April 11, 1941, in Madill, Oklahoma. After their marriage, Lawrence and Zola resided in several southeastern Oklahoma towns. They moved to Ryan, Oklahoma, in 1957 where he owned and operated a Texaco Service Station. Lawrence came to Chickasha in 1965, from Ryan, Oklahoma, where he was employed with several automotive repair shops in Chickasha, including Cliff Andrews Motors, Howard Sprague Automotive and Jackson Trailer. Lawrence was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. He enjoyed teaching Sunday School at a nursing home, woodworking, gardening, and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great granddaughter. Lawrence is preceded in death by both parents and one brother. Survivors include his wife, Zola, of the home; one daughter, Malinda Hair of Norman, OK; one son and daughter-in-law Eddie and Terrie Scott of Irving, TX; two granddaughters, Chelly Johnson and husband Jim of Norman, OK; and Susan Scott of Irving, TX; and grandson, Bryan Scott of Irving, TX; great granddaughter, Gabriella Salas of Irving, TX; and one sister, Myrle Smith of Midland, TX.
