CLEVELAND GENE STEVENS Funeral services for Rev. Cleveland Gene Stevens, 67, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at Central Assembly Church, 902 S. Ninth Street. Rev. Cleveland Gene Stevens was born Feb. 16, 1936, in Anadarko, Okla., and died on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, in Chickasha, Okla. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 10 August 2003 REV. CLEVELAND GENE STEVENS Funeral service for Rev. Cleveland Gene Stevens, 67, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, August 11, 2003, in the Central Assembly Church. Rev. Cleveland Gene Stevens was born February 26, 1936, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, the son of Bonnie Wilkerson and Louis Stevens. He was raised by Loyd and Cora Stevens, his uncle and aunt. Rev. Stevens died Thursday, August 7, 2003, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Rev. Stevens is survived by: wife: Mary Stevens of the home in Chickasha; 1 daughter, Loretta Ann Keener and husband Tim, of Oklahoma City; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; a special family friend, Susan Burns; 2 brothers; 2 sisters. After graduating from high school in Anadarko, Oklahoma, Mr. Stevens served a four year apprenticeship in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and became a Journeyman Printer and lithographer. He owned and operated the Arrow Printing Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma until 1970, at which time Mr. Stevens sold his business and began his schooling for the Ministry. He was ordained with the Assemblies of God. He pastored in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Gracemont, Oklahoma, and founded Central Assembly at 902 and South Ninth, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Reverend Stevens pastored in Chickasha for 24 years.
