She was born on September 11, 1929 in Gracemont, Oklahoma to Charlie and Bessie Blankenship. Lee married Carl Stephenson on September 17, 1946 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Together they have lived in Bradley, OK since their marriage. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bradley, OK. Lee enjoyed working with rocks, looking for arrowheads, teaching others about rocks and telling stories about her rocks. She was very proud to be the owner and operator of Lee's Rock Shop in Bradley, OK. She is preceded in death by her parents and one son, Curtis Stephenson, five brothers, Howard Blankenship, M.C. Blankenship, Richard Blankenship, Tommy Blankenship and Norman Blankenship. She is survived by her husband, Carl, of Bradley, Ok, one daughter, Pat Cox of Bradley, OK, one son, Wes Stephenson, of Binger, OK, two brothers, Luther Blankenship, California, Robert Blankenship, of Rush Springs, OK, four grandchildren, Melea Hughes, of Rush Springs, OK, Aaron Cornforth, of Choctaw, OK, Janice Akright, of Edmond, OK, and Faith Carney, of Fritch, Texas. She will be missed by the ten great grandchildren she was blessed with. Services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist church in Bradley, OK. Pastor Cletis Lee will officiate. Interment will be at the Bradley Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the B. G. Boydston Funeral Home.
