All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Edward Walter Stephens Edward Walter Stephens, 81, of Paris passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at Dubuis Hospital, at which time Bright-Holland Funeral Home received him into its care. The family holds private services at a later date. He was born Jan. 6, 1926, in Tuttle, Okla., the son of Elbert and Billie Little Stephens. He grew up in the Blanton Creek and Bagwell area of Red River County. He served in the U.S. Navy for seven years, with part of his service being during World War II. He was a retired house painter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Stephens. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Bill McGhee of Kemnerer, Wyo.; two sons, Clayton Edward Stephens of Las Vegas, Nev. and Matthew Stephens and wife, Carissa, of Paris, with whom he made his home. He is also survived by two sisters, Melva Phillips of Camden, Ark. and Sharon Black of Paris.
