All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm +========================================================================+ The Chickaha Express-Star 10 December 2003 BARBARA JEAN STIDHAM Funeral service for Barbara Jean Stidham, age 66, of Cyril, Oklahoma, was held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2003, in the Cyril First Baptist Church. Rev. Charles Echols will officiate. Barbara Jean Stidham was born the daughter of Jesse G. Wright and Mildred Minnick Wright on December 15, 1936, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She died on Sunday, December 7, 2003, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Barbara grew up in Tulsa. She married Keith Coleman and remained in Tulsa, where they began raising their family. In 1971, they moved to Cyril. Keith preceded Barbara in death in 1977. While in Cyril, Barbara worked in Chickasha for Stidham Trailers and then for Hess Oil as a secretary. She retired after fourteen years with Hess Oil. In 1988, she married Al Stidham. They continued to live in Cyril. After retirement, she began working for Snider Construction. Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cyril and the Cyril Beautification Committee. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, J. Wayne and Darold Wright, sister, Arlene Spencer, her first husband, Keith Coleman, and son, Michael Keith Coleman. Survivors include: husband, Al Stidham of Cyril; daughter and husband, Terrie and Wayne Walters of Cyril; daughter and husband, Tammy and Bill Brown of Cyril; stepson, Gene Stidham of Anadarko, grandchildren: Jeremy and wife, Mandi Walters of Elgin, Matt and Luke Walters of Cyril, Jason, Amber, and Keila Simmons, and Clayton Brown of Cyril; sister, Lou Johnson of Gainesville, Texas; sister, Pat Baca of Oak Harbor, Washington; sister, Betty Howard of Tulsa; brother, Monte Wright of Tulsa; brother, Tom Wright of Owassa; brother, Sam Wright of Tulsa; step grandchildren: Kelly, Katie and Cody Stidham, Brett Green; step great grandchildren: Mason, Carson, and Brexton Green; previous mother-in-law and special friend, Ruth Coleman of Cyril; beloved pet, "Shorty." Interment will be in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery.
