Bob Settle Funeral services for Rev. Bob Settle, 67, Anadarko, will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2002, in the First Assembly of God Church, Cyril, Oklahoma, with Rev. Wesley Warren, pastor of First Assembly of God, Minco, Oklahoma, and Rev. John West, associate pastor, First Assembly of God, Cyril, Oklahoma, officiating. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Wednesday at Robbins Cement Chapel, Cement, Okla. Rev. Settle died Sunday, April 21, at his residence. Burial will be in the Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko under the direction of the Robbins Funeral Home, Fletcher, Oklahoma. He was born October 8, 1934, in Gracemont, to Jessie Franklin and Ida Pearl Settle. He grew up north of Cement and attended grade school at Prairie View north of Cement. He lived in the Cement area until he married Wanda Alene Winn on January 31, 1953, in Anadarko. He moved to Hoisington, Kansas where he worked in oil fields, and then to San Springs where he worked as a welder at National Zink in Tulsa for about 15 years. He started serving as a full-time minister on Father's Day in 1965 and pastored churches in Sand Springs, Sapulpa, Fort Cobb, Cement and Cyril. He has served as pastor at First Assembly of God in Cyril for 4 years this past November. He also operated the Anadarko welding shop at 219 W. Main in Anadarko with his son for 20 years as well as farming for the past 30 years. Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Wanda Alene Settle, of the home; 3 daughters: Carla and her husband, Gerald Wideman, San Springs, OK, Bobbie Joy and her husband, Rev. Wesley Warren, Minco, OK, Debbie and her husband, Jack Wilkins, Cement, OK; son: Rodger Settle and his wife, Dorothy, Cement, OK; mother-in-law: Edna Winn, Anadarko, OK; 11 grandchildren: Wendy Widerman, Jennifer Cypert, Tammy Milburn, Aaron Warren, Bobby Settle, Tommy Wilkins, Jesse Settle, Hydie Wilkins, Sandra Warren, Jonathan Warren and Jerod Wilkins; 2 great grandchildren: McKenzie Cypert and Blake Milburn; sister, Shirley Gies, Oklahoma City, OK; 3 brothers: Haskell Settle, Ninnekah, OK, Walter Settle, McPherson, KS, and Carl Settle, Carman, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, 8 brothers and sisters.
