Rev. Kim Domnick will officiate, and Rev. Don Horton will officiate. Agnes Amanda Stansbury was born Feb. 25, 1902, in Kinsley, Kan., and died on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, in Chickasha. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha, under the direction of McRay Funeral Home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 28 August 2003 AGNES AMANDA STANSBURY Funeral services for Agnes Amanda Stansbury, age 101, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2003, in the Epworth United Methodist Church. Rev. Kim Domnick will officiate, and Rev. Don Horton will assist. Agnes Amanda Stansbury was born the daughter of Aldon C. Barber and Grace Dora Sumney Barber on February 25, 1902, in Kinsley, Kansas. She died on Tuesday, August 26, 2003, in Chickasha. Agnes came to Minco as a small child where her family was involved in the establishment of a church which is now Arcadia Methodist Church. She married Oscar Anderson in 1919 in Minco, Oklahoma. Her first employment was with Southwestern Bell and later Pioneer Bell Telephone Companies, and then she established a cafe business which she continued until 1944. She came to Chickasha in 1944 and began working at Borden General Hospital during World War II. Agnes then married Garland Stansbury in 1947 in Chickasha. Agnes worked for the Chickasha Hospital and Clinic for eleven years. She then worked at Grady Memorial Hospital for seventeen years as manager for the dietary department. Agnes retired on August 13, 1976, to spend time with her hobby of making quilts. She was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Susanna Wesley Circle. Agnes was a member of the Eastern Star and had received her 75 year pin in 2002. She became a member of the Centenarian Club on her 100th birthday. She celebrated many birthdays and many parties. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters, her husbands, Oscar Anderson and Garland Stansbury, and one son, Raymond Anderson in 1985. Survivors include: daughter and husband: Pauline and Gordon Spangler of Chickasha; granddaughter: Gordona Snow of Chickasha; granddaughter: Amanda Keller of Chickasha; granddaughter: Ladonna Anderson of Chickasha; grandson: William Anderson of Dallas; grandson: Jimmy Ray Anderson of Chickasha; grandson: Gary Lee Anderson of Norman; grandson: Danny Max Anderson of Carnegie; grandson: Melvin Anderson of Chickasha; grandson: Mike Harris of Chickasha; grandson: Lennie Harris of Oklahoma City; grandson: Ronald Black of California; seven great grandchildren: Gordon Travis and his wife, Brandy Snow, Sarah Snow, Angel Cude, Ryan Lee Anderson, Stacy Keller; many nieces, nephews, and many friends, Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
