M. SATTERWHITE Thomas Melton Satterwhite died at 1:00 a. m. March 31, 1942 at Wichita, Kansas at the age of 82 years, 8 months and 21 days. The body was brought here for burial. The funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon at the Baptist church with Rev. C. W. Taylor officiating. T. M. Satterwhite was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky and was married to Dora May Church at Erie, Kansas April 2, 1885. She preceded him in death November 2, 1890. Surviving children are Mrs. Nellie Talkington, Jeff Satterwhite of Verden and Mrs. Carrie King of Oklahoma City. Pall bearers were Sam Talkington, Joe Dobbs, John N. Kern, Cash Mendenhall, Jim Pease and Jim Smith. Interment was made in Verden cemetery with Hansen Funeral Home in charge.
