Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== GEORGE DOUGLAS SITTERDING Surname: SITTERDING, DOUGLAS, CRAIN, BUSBY Graveside funeral for George Douglas Sitterding, 73, formerly of Chickasha, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 1988, in Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Kim Hayes, pastor of Bible Baptist Church officiating. He was born Sept 10, 1914, in Chickasha, the son of John Frederick Sitterding and Lila Mae Douglas. He died April 23, 1988 in Fresno, CA. Mr. Sitterding was reared and lived in Chickasha until going into the armed forces during World War II. After serving his duty, he moved to Fresno, Calif., where he worked at the Fresno branch of the United States Post Office until his retirement in 1975. In 1981, George moved to Yukon, where he lived until 1984. At that time, he moved back to Chickasha to take up residence at Community Care Center where he lived until his return to Clovis, Calif. in 1986. Mr. Sitterding was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Group 9814 in Fresno, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Frederick Sitterding and Lila Mae Douglas; by four brothers and three sisters. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Deborah Sitterding of Clovis, Calif.; a stepson, Hal Crain of Fresno, Calif.; a sister, Juanita Busby of Chickasha; two grandchildren, Teresa Sitterding and James Sitterding both of Clovis, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Binyon Funeral Home.
