He passed away on Dec. 2, 1974 in a Seattle hospital. Private cremation was held. Rev. Robert E. Brown officiated. John was born on March 22, 1911 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of John and Lila Sitterding. He was raised in Oklahoma and moved to Oregon in 1935. He married Annie B. Threadgould on June 22, 1938 in Portland, Oregon and they moved to Fall City in 1940. He spent most of his life in Fall City working as a heavy construction worker. He was a member of St. Michael and All Angel Episcopal Church. John was a Past Master of Falls City Lodge No. 66 F & AM, Past High Priest of Fall City Royal Arch Mason Chapter No. 54, and Past Patron Palm Chapter No. 155 O.E.S. The family moved to Issaquah in 1971, and he retired in 1973. He is survived by his wife Annie, one son, Robert Sitterding, Kirkland; one daughter, Caroline Hoff of Maine; his mother, Lila Sitterding, Oklahoma; three brothers, George, Fresno; Jack, Hayward; Billie, Madera, California; three sisters, Zuma Moncrief, Fort Cobb, Oklahoma; Juanita Busby, Chickasha and Nadine Breslin, San Diego. Remembrances are suggested to the Virginia Mason Hospital Leukemia Research Center in Seattle or to St. Michael and All Angels Church in Issaquah. Dec. 1974
