Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 9 June 2002 JEANNE HARDIMAN SANTO DOMINGO Jeanne Hardiman Santo Domingo passed away peacefully in her home in Daly City, California, on April 25, 2002, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Chickasha in 1929, she married Teodore Santo Domingo in 1948, a flight navigator in the Philippines. Stationed in the Philippines and Rome, Italy, she gave birth to two sons. Moving to San Francisco in 1954, after her husband's untimely death, she started a new life for her family and began a successful career in accounting. She was passionate in her love of literature, art and music, and most of all, supporting her sons' goals and pursuits. For many years was active in The Lamplighters, a group that performed Gilbert and Sullivan operettas. Later, she enjoyed working with the Speech Arts Association. Selfless in giving to her family and friends, she was the devoted caregiver to her mother, LUCILE FERGUSON HARDIMAN, who passed away in Oklahoma City on August 31, 1995, Lucile is also remembered for her love of life and people. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Claude Santo Domingo. Both her parents also preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Diego Santo Domingo, of California; her brother, Shannon Dean Hardiman, of Illinois; her sister, Mary Mildred (Hardiman) Marr, of Texas; her Aunt Mildred (Ferguson) Goodwyn, of Little Rock, Arkansas; and many relatives and friends who remember her determination and love. A memorial/celebration gathering was held on May 5, at the Lake Merced Church of Christ, in San Francisco, California. On May 18th, her ashes were buried in the family plot, in Rose Hill Cemetery, in Chickasha. A daughter of Chickasha who had traveled and lived across many oceans, has returned home ... Home now with the Lord ... Her reward and peace in heave.
