Wanda Louise Smith was born Dec. 23, 1917, in Chickasha, Okla., and died on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, in Houston. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 28 February 2003 WANDA LOUISE SMITH Funeral service for Wanda Louise Smith, 85, of Houston, Texas, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2003, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha. Wanda Louise Smith was born December 23, 1917, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, and died February 19, 2003, in Houston, Texas. After attending Oklahoma College for Women, where she majored in Home Economics, she married H. Vernon Smith on February 5, 1939. They moved to Houston in 1947, where they raised their family. They were married for 58 years prior to his death in 1997. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by: father: James Robert Farley; mother: Mary Edna Mulvaney. She was one of 5 children, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include: 1 son: H. Vernon Smith, Jr., of Los Alamos, New Mexico; 1 daughter: Pamela D. Smith Magee of Rio Medina, Texas; grandsons: Matthew P. and Mark P. Magee; 1 granddaughter: Leah C. Smith Croker; 1 great grandson: Nicholas A. Croker.
