Info in parentheses provided by submitter Rites Monday For E. Smith (Edgar D. Smith 25 Nov 1886 - 01 Dec 1955) Services for Edgar Smith will be at 2:30 p. m. Monday in Brown Funeral Home chapel, with David Allan officiating. Mr. Smith died Thursday in his home, 221 Iowa. He was born, Oct. 25, 1886, in Texas. His wife, Mary, died Sept. 4, 1953. He was a retired farmer, a resident of Grady County since 1925, and had lived in Chickasha since 1927. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Malla McDonald, Norge, Mrs. Sevola Cates, Chickasha; Mrs. Mamie Anderson, Cyril; and Mrs. Juanita Burks, Shallow Water, Tex.; five sons, Carl, Montebello, Calif.; Ray and Loran of Chickasha; Elmo, Bakersfield, Calif.; and Sgt. R. B. Smith, U.S. Air Force, in England; six sisters, Mrs. Eulina Anthony, Wichita Falls, Tex.; Mrs. L. O. Wallace, Mrs. Leola Scott and Mrs. Zora Moore, all of Ada; Mrs. Ora Davis, Clarita; and Mrs. Carl Kinsey, Clifton, Ariz.
