SMITH Smith, Nancy L., 53, passed away peacefully in her home with the love of her family surrounding her Monday, March 1, 2004, in Moore, Oklahoma. She was born January 27, 1951, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Deropha and Dean Porter. She married the love of her life, Gary Smith, on October 24, 1967, in Sherman, Texas. Nancy was a dedicated employee for 20 years with Lopez Foods as a forklift operator and worked in the customer service department of Wal-Mart for the past 6 years. She was a very loving and nurturing "Nana" who enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren going to garage sales and the park. Nancy's family and friends will miss her love for life, her caring personality and her warm smile. Nancy is survived by her husband, Gary Smith, Sr., of the home; her parents, Deropha and Dean Porter of Moore; one son, Gary Smith, Jr., and wife Courtney of Moore; one daughter, Karyn Walker and husband Curtis of Moore; one sister, Mary Jones and husband Harland of Moore; three grandchildren, Kaylie, Kelton, and Garrick; and a host of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cecil and Ruby Smith, and brother-in-law, Monty Myers. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Moore Children's Ministries, 201 W. Main, Moore, OK 73160.
