Emilee Joy Schmidt

Emilee Joy Schmidt, 24, Montezuma, Kansas, and former Chickasha, 
Oklahoma, resident, died Saturday, May 1, 2004, at Bethel Home Inc., 
Montezuma, where she had been a resident since February of 1997.

The daughter of Minister Robert G. and Patricia Kay (Dirks) Schmidt, 
she was born January 27, 1980, at Chickasha, Oklahoma.

She was a member of the Plainview Mennonite Church, Chickasha, OK.

Survivors include her parents, Minister Robert G. and Patricia 
Schmidt, Chickasha, OK; one brother, Tim Schmidt and wife, Carrie, 
Chickasha, OK; two sisters, Christy Toews and husband, Kyle, 
Cimarron, KS; Marsha Schmidt, Pauls Valley, OK; two grandmothers, 
Marjorie Dirks, Montezuma, KS, Malinda Schmidt, Montezuma, KS; three 
nephews and one niece, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Vernon Dirks and 
Albert Schmidt.

A memorial has been established for the Bethel Home Inc, Montezuma.  
Memorials may be mailed to Montezuma Funeral Home - Box 421 - 
Montezuma, KA 67867.

Friends may call Sunday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Bethel Home 
Inc. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Montezuma Funeral Home, 
Montezuma.

Friends may call Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Plainview 
Mennonite Church, Verden, OK.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. 
at the Plainview Mennonite Church, Verden, Oklahoma, with Ministers 
Charles Schmidt, Calvin Nightingale and Bradley Koehn presiding, and 
burial in the Plainview Mennonite Cemetery, Verden, OK.

Montezuma Funeral Home, Montezuma, Kansas in charge of arrangements.
