The daughter of Minister Robert G. and Patricia Kay (Dirks) Schmidt, she was born January 27, 1980, at Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Plainview Mennonite Church, Chickasha, OK. Survivors include her parents, Minister Robert G. and Patricia Schmidt, Chickasha, OK; one brother, Tim Schmidt and wife, Carrie, Chickasha, OK; two sisters, Christy Toews and husband, Kyle, Cimarron, KS; Marsha Schmidt, Pauls Valley, OK; two grandmothers, Marjorie Dirks, Montezuma, KS, Malinda Schmidt, Montezuma, KS; three nephews and one niece, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Vernon Dirks and Albert Schmidt. A memorial has been established for the Bethel Home Inc, Montezuma. Memorials may be mailed to Montezuma Funeral Home - Box 421 - Montezuma, KA 67867. Friends may call Sunday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Bethel Home Inc. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Montezuma Funeral Home, Montezuma. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Plainview Mennonite Church, Verden, OK. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at the Plainview Mennonite Church, Verden, Oklahoma, with Ministers Charles Schmidt, Calvin Nightingale and Bradley Koehn presiding, and burial in the Plainview Mennonite Cemetery, Verden, OK.
