Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 7 September 2001 Helen Snedeker Funeral service for Helen Snedeker, 81, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, September 8, 2001, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Helen Snedeker was born February 13, 1920, in North Augusta, South Carolina, the daughter of John Terrance and Anna Carolina (Levine) Wise, and died Tuesday, September 4, 2001, in Chickasha. Mrs. Snedeker lived in Chickasha for over 55 years. She and Cleo Corbin Snedeker were married November 22, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1990. Mrs. Snedeker was a member of the Sharon Baptist Church. She was a member of the Friend Home Demonstration Club for over 50 years and was a member and past president of the Auxiliary of Disabled American Veterans. She delivered meals for the Senior Citizen Nutrition Center for many years. Mrs. Snedeker was involved with demonstrations with both the state and county fairs and was involved with the Association for Family and Community Education. She also vol unteered at Christian Care, Convalescent Center, Idaho Avenue Care Center, Shanoan Springs Nursing Home and Grace Living Center. She also volunteered at the Department of Human Services and Nowata Gardens. Mrs. Snedeker was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Mary Anna Snedeker. Survivors include: 2 daughters: Betty Leonetti of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Susan Trunzo of Fredericksburg, Virginia; 2 sons: David Snedeker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Paul Snedeker of Corpus Christ, Texas; 1 brother: John Wise of Shreveport, Louisiana; 4 grandchildren: Jennifer Leonetti, Pamela Wharton, Sherri Trunzo and Adam Trunzo; 1 great grandson: Cole Wharton. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. .
