The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 30 July 2002 JOSEPH SANTOS Memorial service for Joseph Santos, 69, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 1, 2002, at the Holy Name Catholic Church. Joseph Santos was born November 19, 1932, in Fall River, Massachusetts, and died July 26, 2002, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He attended area schools in Fall River. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1952. Joe married Anita J. Alix of Fall River in June of 1953. They have been married for 49 years. Joe and Anita were stationed in many areas of the United States and London England. Joe retired from the Air Force in February of 1973 and went into partnership in the restaurant business for a while. He was then employed at Pet Inc. in May of 1974, where he held the position of Production Supervisor and then shipping and Receiving Supervisor. He retired after 20 years, in August of 1994. He was an avid traveler and enjoyed gardening, oil painting and was an active member of the Y.M.C.A. He attended U.S.A.O. and graduated with a BA degree in 1979. He was also an active member of the Holy Name Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and held the position of Financial Secretary-Grand Knight. He was Faithful Navigator of the 4th Degree. He was a member of the Lions Club for 5 years and an Elks member since 1973. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for the past 5 years. He also served on the Human Relations Commission from January of 1987 until October of 1990. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: wife: Anita Santos of the home; 3 daughters: Debbie Doshier and husband, Ed, of Pioneer, Denise Rodgers and husband, Paul, of Amber, Doreen Isom and husband, Alan, of Chickasha; 1 son: David Santos and Suzy Jackson of Chickasha; 9 grandchildren; longtime friends: Charles and Marguerite Flanagan; 3 cousins: Joan Enos and husband, Tony, Millie Fijo and Bernice LaFleur all of Fall River, Massachusetts; many friends. Services are under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
