Snedeker, age 76, of Chickasha, is pending with the McRay Funeral Home. Leo was born on March 22, 1928. He died on January 28, 2005. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 31 January 2005 LEO WALKER SNEDEKER Funeral service for Leo Walker Snedeker, age 76, of Chickasha will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2005, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Kim Hayes will officiate. Leo was born the son of Cleo Bryan Snedeker and Minnie Walker Snedeker on March 22, 1928, in Chickasha. He died on January 28, 2005, in Chickasha. Leo married Wilma Maudine Sasser on June 2, 1950, in Chickasha. He entered the U.S. Army in 1955, and served as a medic. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Chickasha. Leo farmed and ranched in the Chickasha area much of his life. He also worked for Bill's Bakery in Chickasha. Leo was actively involved in rodeos in which he was a calf roper. He was a member of the Rodeo Cowboys Association and participated in rodeos at Cheyenne, Wyoming and Ft. Worth, Texas. Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Minnie Snedeker; wife, Wilma Maudine Snedeker; three brothers, Corbin, Walter, and Calvin Snedeker; three sisters, Genevieve Gillespie, Fern Tilley, and Joyce Thomas. Survivors include his sister, Mary Burchfield of Minco and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
