She was born May 13, 1930 and died May 13, 2005. Interment will be int he Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. ========= The Chickasha Express-Star 16 May 2005 DOROTHY LEE SMILEY Funeral service for Dorothy Smiley, 75, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at the Southern Oaks Church of Christ, in Chickasha. Dorothy Lee Smiley was born May 13, 1930 in Gotebo, Oklahoma, the daughter of Sim and Rudell (Wray) Lancaster and died May 13, 2005 in Chickasha. She married Donald G. Dacus December 17, 1950, and he preceded her in death in 1952. She married Hansford Smiley, February 21, 1970 and he preceded her in death in 1992. Mrs. Smiley worked at WalMart as a greeter for 10 years. She resided at Grace Living Center where she also served as a greeter. She made many friends at First Christian Church, First Assembly of God Church and the Southern Oaks Church of Christ. Mrs. Smiley sang and played the tambourine wth many gospel groups. She had also resided in Weatherford and Ardmore. Mrs. Smiley was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include: one daughter: Debrah Dacus of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two stepdaughters: Dayliene Saxon of Chickasha and Sharon Jackson of Oklahoma City; one brother: Bill Lancaster of Port Orchard, Washington; one sister: Marie Stelting of Lindsay, Oklahoma; four grandsons; four great grandchildren; one God daughter: Misty Renee Graham; many nieced and nephews. A host of friends, many she greeted regularly at Wal-Mart. All of whom made her life more joyful and whom she loved. She was truly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
