Grandpa Sears residing northwest of town, after several years of intense 
suffering from dropsy, passed away Sunday afternoon at the ripe old age 
of 77.

Mr. Sears has been a sufferer from this most aggravating disease for 
over four years and death came as a welcome relief, although his passing 
brought sorrow to those who loved him.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon and 
interment was made in the city cemetery. We regret that we were unable 
to learn more particulars.
