TEAGUE Funeral services for John B. Teague, 76, of Chickasha, will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. in the Grand Assembly of God Church. John B. Teague was born October 30, 1927, in Jean, Texas, the son of Floyd and Lou Castleman Teague. He died Sunday, January 11, 2004, in Oklahoma City. He attended school at Cottonwood and Olney High School in Olney, Texas. John served in the U. S. Army in the South Pacific with the 11th Airborne 187th Parachute Infantry. He married Leta Hobbs in April of 1950, in Erick, Oklahoma, and to this union his two children, Benny and Gary, were born. He and Leta Happily shared their 50th wedding anniversary in April 2000. John went to Olney Flying School where he obtained his pilot's license. He and Leta spent many happy hours flying. John's happiest times were spent with his kids and playing with his grandchildren. He had been employed with Snap On Tools, Pool Mortgage Company, owned and operated a construction company and a mini-mall in Wichita Falls, Texas, and later opened Teague Athletic Shoe Store in Chickasha which he had for five years and later retired. John is a member of the Grand Assembly of God Church in Chickasha. He was preceded in death by both parents, one loving son, Benny R. Teague, and one brother, Malvin Teague, one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sybel and Clifton Clark. Survivors include his loving wife, Leta, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Nancy Teague, of Chickasha; daughter-in-law, Cindi Teague, of Chickasha; grandchildren Jacqueline Teague, Hannah Teague, both of Chickasha and Collin Teague, of Chickasha; two brothers, and sisters-in-law, Robert and Mary Teague, of Wichita Falls, Texas, Floyd Teague, of Waskon, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Oletta and Golden Elkins, of Olney, Texas; brother-in-law, T. W. Hobbs and sister-in-law, Ruby Dell Hobbs, both of Sayre, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of the Grand Assembly of God Church.
