Rev. Gerald Powley will officiate and Rev. Ed Whitley will assist. Christine Dawn Talkington was born on November 10, 1968, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Sandy Spencer Talkington and Dennis Talkington. She died on Thursday, July 19, 2001, in Verden, Oklahoma. Christine moved to Verden in 1979 with her family. She attended school at Verden and graduated from Verden High School. Christine was salutatorian of her graduating class. She then attended El Reno Junior College and graduated summa cum laude as a registered nurse. Christine had worked at various hospitals. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leo and Margie Talkington. Survivors include her parents, Dennis and Sandy Talkington of Verden; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Stacy Talkington of Broken Arrow; brother, Jason Talkington of Norman; maternal grandparents, Truman and Alma Spencer of Oklahoma City; numerous family, friends, and her beloved dog, Pronto. Service will be under the direction of the McRay's Verden Funeral Home. There will be no viewing at the funeral home.
