Adelene Hood Taylor was born April 9, 1913 in Pittsburg, Texas the daughter of Windell and Willie (Johnston) Hood and died Monday, September 25, 2000 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She and Clyde F. Taylor were married October 3, 1929 in Pittsburg, Texas. He preceded her in death April 9, 1987. They lived in Amber from 1948 until 1987. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Cross Timber Baptist Church of Burleson, Texas. She was also preceded in death by: parents; 2 sons: C.F. Taylor, Jr., May 8, 1987, Stanley W. Taylor, November 14, 1988. Survivors include: 2 sisters and their husbands: Laverne and Lloyd Taft of Burleson, Texas, Patsy and Arnold Sanderson of Post, Texas; 1 granddaughter: Teresa Taylor Rose of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 1 grandson: Stacy Taylor of Mustang, Oklahoma; 1 great granddaughter: Autumn Rose of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 1 great grandson: Michael Rose of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
