Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 30 June 2001 Clarence Russell Thompson Funeral services for Clarence Russell Thompson, 80, former Lawton resident, will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Sullivan Village Church of Christ with Mr. Joe Keener, minister, Elgin Church of Christ, officiating. Mr. Thompson died Tuesday in Tulsa. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. He was born January 19, 1921, at Kingfisher, Oklahoma, to C.M. and Ethel Thompson. He grew up in the Chickasha area and graduated from Pioneer High School. He had served with the Army Air Corps during World War II and was married to Fern Irene Ragland on March 15, 1941, at Chickasha. He had worked for OTASCO and was retired from PSO after 26 years. He was a member of the Sullivan Village Church of Christ. Survivors include: wife: Fern Irene Thompson, of the home; daughter: Linda T. Williams, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; son: Bob Thompson, of Houston, Texas; granddaughter: Lori Payne, of Shawnee, Oklahoma; sister: Mabel Phariss, of Chickasha, Oklahoma.
