Dwaine Jones officiating. Interment was at the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Ferguson Funeral Home. Eldred E. Trent was born Febuary 28, 1918 in Hammon to Benjamin and Johnnie Guinn Trent and died December 16, 2006 in Chickasha at the age of 88. Eldred attended schools in the Pie Flat/Hammon area. He joined the Army in 1944 and became a Medic in WWII. He fough in the Battle of the Bulge and the Normandy Invasion. He received many honors and medals for heroic action; among them were the Purple Heart, Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart with Clusters, Good Conduct, and Expert Marksmen. Reurning to Oklahoma after the war, he and his wife Oleta Maltby Trent settled in Chickasha. He managed and eventually owned the Sav Mor Gas Station. Eldred married Virgie (Kovar) Bryan May 19, 1978. He was a longtime member of the Assembly of God Church, serving as Deacon for 18 years. He also volunteered at Grady Memorial Hospital. He wasz preceded in death by both parents; his first wife, Oletta in 1977; one sister Dema Hunt; and one daughter, Glenda Kay. Survivors inclue his wife Virgie; one son, Ted Bryan and wife, Michelle; three daughters, Maxine Frazier and husband, Skip, B. Gretchen Bryan and Jo Marilyn Trent; seven grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Hack Hunt and wife Lorraine; one sister-in-law, Verda Dick and husband Lawrence of Elk City.
